AMMBAN FLAGS OFF NEIGHBOURHOOD FINANCIAL INCLUSION CENTRE IN NASARAWA

The Association of Mobile Money and Bank Agents in Nigeria AMMBAN has officially launched her Neighbourhood Financial Inclusion Centres on Friday, March 1st 2024 in Karu, Nasarawa state. This is coming as banks are currently pushing their customers to link the National Identification Number (NIN) and Bank Verification Number (BVN), as the March deadline fixed by the Central Bank of Nigeria approaches. Nasarawa is the first state in the country to kick off the NFIC registration and data capturing exercise. The Nasarawa state Executive Governor, Abdullah Audu Sule was also present as he performed the flag off simultaneously with the distribution of palliative to six electoral wards in Karu.

Our National President, Mr. Fasisi Sharafadeen speaking during the NFIC launching, hinted that over 300 local governments in Nigeria are without bank branches, and this situation negates the access to BVN and NIN linkage, hence the NFIC is organised to unlock opportunities for financially excluded and underserved communities in Nigeria as the people of these communities will enjoy access to trained and enabled agents/aggregators powered by host communities and service providers who will provide them with services like NIN and BVN registration, SIM cards registration, ATM cards, palliative and government disbursements, POS operations among others.
